Packaging Industry Manufacturers Can Improve By Listening To End Users
The Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (PMMI) recently shared a report that included a few of the concerns of consumer products packagers as they relate to packaging machines and the ones that manufacture the equipment. The most popular and well-used are Print Idea Printing Service Offset and Digital Offset Inkjet Silkscreen.

While each packing project will arrive with unique concerns and issues, based on product, container, rate, and other things, listening to the expectations and concerns of a group of packagers enables machine makers the chance to not only better serve the end users, but enhance the industry overall.
End users of packaging machines have always expected a certain degree of consultation before the purchase and manufacture of the gear. Those building the machinery should have the required expertise to obtain the perfect solution for any specific project.
However, packagers are currently searching for enlarged expertise or knowledge out of just the machines being built. Ideally, packagers would love to see those building the machines become experts in the packaging industry generally, together with knowledge of rules and regulations, information about different materials and other similar problems.
In the long run, expanded knowledge and experience contributes to better communication and confidence, strengthening the connection between equipment users and contractors and helping to ensure the right equipment is used on each project.
SUSTAINABILITY AND FLEXIBILITY
Sustainability is a difficult word to define, but everybody appears to agree that it has to apply to the whole packaging process, not only the product and package. The energy and substances used to conduct a filling machine, capping equipment or an entire packaging line is a concern to the consumers of such machines.
